Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge
Clock Rewinders is a weekly wrap-up post, generally published on Sundays, that is the brain child of me and Tara @ 25 Hour Books (though you’ll notice I participate more than she does) where we recap what we’ve posted on our blogs, what has happened in the blogosphere, note-worthy or funny search terms throughout the week, and what we plan on reading in the coming week.
Since Clock Rewinders has turned into a community event, I think it’s useful to explain a little more about what Clock Rewinders is and how to participate. When I first started book blogging, Tara and I put our heads together to create a weekly feature that accomplished a couple things: 1) we wanted to cross-promote each other, especially since I was just starting out, and 2) I felt like there was a hole that needed to be filled: bloggers often recapped their own blog happenings, but rarely mentioned other posts they enjoyed. The name Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge was specifically tailored for our blogs, with aspects that reflected part of our titles: Tara is the clock rewinder (and you’ll notice that the clock in the image is backwards) and I’m the book binge. It’s also a six word title, as both of us are fond of writing #insixwords.
Over time, the sections included in our posts evolved and changed, but one thing that has remained the same was the desire to share content (not giveaways) that we enjoyed throughout the blogosphere during the week. Posts that provoked us, posts that made us think, posts that offered useful advice — whatever. Anyone is welcome to join us and participate in Clock Rewinders. Most participants choose which sections to include or not, and none of them is required — with the only exception being that you must link content from around the web. Everything else is up to you.
Of Tara and me, I am the more consistent poster, and I have kept the linky primarily at my blog. We are, however, working on getting Tara back into blogging, and whenever possible, we will share linky duties.
Top Off Tuesday

button made by the awesome Missie
Top Off Tuesdays is a weekly meme that is co-hosted by Felicia @ Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog (where you’ll find the Mr. Linky), Christi @ Smitten with Reading, and me. Make the beginning of the week a little more survivable with the book covers that make you swoon. Warning: features men in various states of undress.
Who Am I Stalking?
A feature I’ve taken [with permission] from 25 Hour Books and use it for myself to showcase bloggers I can’t live without. Though the button and general idea is the same, the questions are slightly different.
No, That’s Not What I Meant!
A feature that makes fun of the Goodreads search function. Happens whenever I amass enough screenshots of funny search suggestions.
