I am a 20-something with a serious addiction to books. I have an MA in teaching English as a second language, I own a copy-editing business called Language Management, LLC, and On a Book Bender is both my brain child and secret affair (please, don’t tell the boyfriend). I like to laugh. Some day I will have my own home library. Occasionally I lose my sanity, which causes me to do things like sign up to run in 5k races…and enjoy it.
Here are other secrets my readers wanted to know about me:

Why do you enjoy blogging about books?
Beyond the fact that I love to read, I think the book blogging community is amazing, and they are the reason I enjoy book blogging so much.
Will finding a grammar error in a book cause you to stop reading it?
No. If I did stop reading every book in which I found a grammar error, I would not finish many books. I am pretty good at picking errors out, and you might be surprised at how many grammatical errors slip through the cracks. I’m even not talking specifically about self-published books here. I have seen grammatical errors in books that were published by major publishing companies, too. It happens to the best of us, so I usually give the book the benefit of the doubt.
Do you finish books even if you’re not enjoying the book?
I used to say yes, but with all the books I have acquired since becoming a book blogger, it’s becoming hard to continue reading a book that I am not enjoying when I have so many other books to read. I have to have a pretty good reason to continue, like I received the book as a gift or for review.
What is one book you could read over and over again forever?
I’m still searching for that book. The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand comes close, but I think there is too much about her philosophy with which I now disagree for me to continue re-reading it. I’m not really someone who rereads her books, though I have come across a few recently where I could see myself rereading them in the future.
Has any book ever made you want to throw it across the room? Did you actually do it?
No. Not that I remember, anyway. I may have been angry enough to toss a book across the floor, though. I probably also shake books. But don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt them.
Which blogs (book and otherwise) do you like to visit often?
