Everyone has one.
Some are bigger than others.
And when secrets are revealed,
Some will heal you ...
And some will end you.

Kate Sedgwick’s life has been anything but typical. She’s endured hardship and tragedy, but throughout it all she remains happy and optimistic (there’s a reason her best friend Gus calls her Bright Side). Kate is strong-willed, funny, smart, and musically gifted. She’s also never believed in love. So when Kate leaves San Diego to attend college in the small town of Grant, Minnesota, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with Keller Banks.

They both feel it.
But they each have a reason to fight it.
They each have a secret.

And when secrets are revealed,
Some will heal you …
And some will end you.

This book absolutely broke my heart.

Thoughts on Bright Side

Oh boy this book. I don’t even know what to say. I’m going to be vague because it’s easy to give things away in this book.

The characters are phenomenal. I will never forget these characters. I will never stop thinking about the relationships formed in this book. It will stick with me forever.

I will also never forget the many hours that I cried because of this book. It’s called Bright Side, but there are times that it’s not so bright. But the book is so well written, that I didn’t even care. I enjoyed it every step of the way.

It was so easy to lose myself in this book. Everything from the setting to the recurring jokes to the minor characters and everything in between are fantastic in this book. It is a must read. And I will recommend it forever.

Have a box of tissues with you. It will be needed. It gets ugly. But you will love it. I sure as hell did.
