Series: Martin Ranch #1
Genres: Contemporary, Romance, Suspense
Best Female Country Artist. Sold out world-wide tour. Record-setting album sales. It’s been a stellar year for Skye Taylor and it’s left her exhausted. All she wants to do is go home to Oklahoma, curl up in her little house, and veg out in pj’s with a pile of junk food. But when her tour bus crashes in the middle of West Texas, her priorities suddenly shift. Now she’s sitting bedside hoping her best friend and bodyguard, KC, survives.
For Scott Martin, he simply wants this horrible year to end. After the murder of his brother, his family is falling apart. With one crisis after another pulling him back to the family ranch, he’s put way too many late night miles on his truck between his family home and Lubbock, where he works as a paramedic. When he comes upon the wrecked tour bus, he has no idea this is one emergency which will change his life forever.
Skye and Scott quickly form a friendship which hints at possibilities of more. But as these two dodge paparazzi, over-zealous label executives, and stalker fans, they soon discover that everything is easier when you have someone you trust RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE. And that becomes even more important when they discover the bus wreck wasn’t an accident…
Another sexy winner from Christi Snow!
Thoughts on Right By Your Side
Yesssss! The Martin men have returned and I couldn’t be happier. (And by “returned”, I mean we met them in… book 2 [yes? I think.] of the WtME series and COWBOYS WHO DO THINGS LIKE SAVE LIVES AND STUFF! WHOO-HOO! AND WHO ARE A LITTLE BROKEN. *SAD*) (You know, it’s not my fault I can’t exactly remember which book they first appeared in. Christi Snow has written quite a few books since then. Blame her.)
Soooooo…Scott. What can we saw about Scott? He’s sweet and sexy and he saves people. And he’s a still dealing with his brother’s death. Badly. Well, sort of. He’s been pushing himself hard until he’s running on empty and it doesn’t look like there’s an end in sight. Coming across Sky’s tour bus is one more burden he shoulders. Except Sky turns out to be less of a burden and more of an attraction. RAWR!
Speaking of Sky, poor girl. With her best friend in the hospital and her career teetering at a crossroads, she’s dealing with far more than any one person should have to. Good thing she finds Scott in the midst of all the crazy and ends up having him and his family to lean on.
I do enjoy Christi Snow’s characters and the situations they find themselves in. Scott and Sky? Oh, yeah. They’re fun. Even when they’re dealing with the crazy that comes hand in hand with Sky’s celebrity. I can’t wait to see how the other books play out.
