S. J. Watson makes his powerful debut with this compelling, fast-paced psychological thriller, reminiscent of Shutter Island and Memento, in which an amnesiac who, following a mysterious accident, cannot remember her past or form new memories, desperately tries to uncover the truth about who she is—and who she can trust.

This book was so trippy!

Thoughts on Before I Go To Sleep

At first I thought this was going to just be the story about a woman that tries to remember her life before her accident and up until her life now. Oh how wrong I was was!

This book was so heavy. It was creepy. It blew my mind. I was confused and scared and sad. I was happy and excited. I cried and I got angry. This book made me feel so many things.

The plot twists in this book made me set the book down like “wtf did this really just happen?” When I picked this book up, I really thought that I was just getting a sad book. I got so much more than that.

If you like psychological thrillers, you should pick this one up. It’s not as scary as say, Gillian Flynn, but if you enjoy books with a couple plot twists and a lot of intense moments, this is a book that you’ll want to check out.
