After solving a murder, gift shop owner Stormy Day is famous in Misty Falls. Unfortunately, she's still dateless.

When she lets a mysterious fortune teller offer romance advice, Stormy is drawn into a world of deception. When a body shows up, more secrets and lies follow, confounding the investigation.

Even Jeffrey, the mischievous Russian Blue cat, seems puzzled by the Death of the Crafty Knitter. As Stormy races to find the killer, the danger escalates, bringing the amateur sleuth and the cold-blooded killer face-to-face for a startling climax.

Murder most foul? Stormy’s on it!

Thoughts on Death of a Crafty Knitter

Stormy’s at it again! Her unparalleled ability to stumble over dead bodies at the most unlikely of times will come in handy if she ever wants to open a morgue. Or a funeral home. Or, you know, if she just happens to be good at ferreting out killers. Which she is.

(I think she needs to thank her dad for that. Papa Day has some keen investigative skills. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and all that. Also, he’s VERY good at tricking Stormy into grabbing him a beer when she’s visiting. Very good.)

So. Dead body. Stormy. Shenanigans. After everything she went through in book 1, Stormy’s pretty calm, cool, and collected when it comes to finding dead things. (Except for that time she wasn’t. But we won’t talk about that.)

I’m COMPLETELY not sure how I feel about Officer-Captain Tony and the weird vibe he’s giving off. While I can understand him wanting to look out for Stormy (from that nefarious YOUNGER MAN! EGADS!), he’s reaching creeper territory with his brooding looks and he kinda has mood swings. Not cool Officer-Captain Tony! Not cool.

Meanwhile, I’m much more on board the whole sexy next door neighbor thing. Even when he’s acting cagey. Because sexy next door neighbors are sexy.

Death, a good dose of humor, and one helpful cat (not necessarily in that order) leave Stormy working her way through another case. Or incident. Or “dead body stumbling over” thing. Whatever you want to call it.
