Once you get the zing you can't go back.

Jane West has everything a woman could want. A job in a small Montana town's only adult store, two busy young boys and one dead husband. She's been waiting--for a little zing. That all changes one summer morning at a garage sale with her kids.

Now someone wants their garage sale find and will let nothing get in their way. Including Jane. This new excitement for Jane spells trouble for a relationship with new neighbor--and hot fireman--Ty Strickland. Can Jane and Ty handle a relationship meddling mother-in-law, crazy kids, and stay alive while trying to solve the garage sale mystery? Will their love be worth the wait?

This book was previously published under the title Gnome On The Range.

Romance with a side of mystery.

Thoughts on Waiting

Heh. This one was cute. From Jane and Ty’s first meeting — where she had to explain several different personal pleasure devices to a customer with him within earshot — to their numerous brushes with danger, I was entertained. Frankly, I thought the two sizzled together. And Ty’s obsession with Jane’s breasts after an unexpected wardrobe malfunction was hilarious!

Beyond the chemistry between the two, Jane ends up in the worst situations without even trying. Attempted robberies, things blowing up all willy nilly, men hitting on her in an entirely creeptastic manner, and being forced to watch horses mate. Sort of. Yep, her life isn’t boring. The sexy fireman is a total bonus.

I really liked all the supporting characters. Jane’s mother-in-law is wildly funny (anybody who can send sexual aid care packages to others to help speed things along is a-okay in my book!), her best friend is completely down to earth (considering she has seven kids, she has the patience of a saint and plenty of common sense to dole out!), and her neighbor (not the sexy fireman, the other neighbor who’s carrying on a long distance relationship with Jane’s mom) is the helpful, practical type. They were all fun in their own ways and they helped balance out the crazy that Jane suddenly found herself in the middle of.

A very enjoyable, fast, fun read with enough simmering sexual tension to help a horse get it on with… err, maybe you should read the book and see what the horse gets it on with. Because some things even I can’t explain properly.
