Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Tara @ 25 Hour Books and I shamelessly plug each other, share the fantastic posts, giveaways, or whatever else we’ve found and loved by other awesome bloggers (or authors!) during the week, and talk about the books we plan on reading in the coming week.

Meanwhile, in Amanda’s World

Hola mis amigas (y amigos?). This week, I…

…explained the differences between copy editing and proofreading (and why you want both) on The Path of Least Revision
…shared my goals for February
…reviewed Ekaterina and the Firebird by Abra Staffin-Wiebe for FBNLT
…laughed through Fifty Slaves of Grays by Ann L. Probe with Kelly for GLA
…hit my manuscript hard and reached halfway

Ashley (Nose Graze) wonders if you’ve ever really wanted to love a blog, but don’t? Only all the time for me.

Renae (Respiring Thoughts) had some thoughts on the hero in romance and how that affects her reading experience. (Alpha assholes not welcome.)

why are brunettes always plain in romance novels — THAT’S A GOOD QUESTION. Here’s a call to start describing brown hair as SHINING DARKNESS.

After a particularly disastrous read by Elizabeth Hoyt, I took the rest of her books back to the library. I briefly considered sticking with the books because I was curious what happens to the characters, but had a feeling it wasn’t going to get any better. And I had other books to read. Meredith Duran did not fare so well either.

I’m still waiting on Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare to come in, and when I do, I’m going to have to pick up something by Jennifer Ashley after reading Felicia’s review on The Duke’s Perfect Wife.

  1. Yea for using the library when trying an author! It is so nice to be able to just return the books instead of feeling pressured to read books that you bought but aren’t enjoying.
