Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Tara @ 25 Hour Books and I shamelessly plug each other, share the fantastic posts, giveaways, or whatever else we’ve found and loved by other awesome bloggers (or authors!) during the week, and talk about the books we plan on reading in the coming week.
On a Book Bender Recap
- Kelly Reviews: Of Poseidon by Anna Banks (4) — The characters didn’t work for me.
- Top Off Tuesday — Go get those abs, ladies.
- Review: Lord’s Fall by Thea Harrison (9) — We must always trust Thea Harrison.

- Where’s My GLA?
Meanwhile, in Amanda’s World
It’s all been about my business this week. Big changes are coming in 2013. BIG CHANGES! I’m really excited about them, and if you’re signed up for my newsletter, you’ll get a sneak peek December 15th. If not, you’ll have to hope you can find it linked on Facebook or Twitter because only newsletter subscribers will be getting the PEEK. If you want to be signed up for my newsletter, all you have to do is click here (and fill out the form). Once January rolls around, I’m disconnecting my business blog from my newsletter, so my newsletter will feature EXCLUSIVE CONTENT you won’t get by following my business blog. And if you already subscribe to my newsletter now–no worries. My blog posts will still be in the newsletter. That won’t change. (I promise all these changes will make sense eventually. Right now they’re still all secret-y, and honestly, it’s possible my plans will morph between now and then.)
Oh, this week you got to see some of things that Kelly and I have been up to: Seriously Series and Free Books Need Love, Too. I think everything else is Bout of Books related. And, if you were paying attention to my tweets yesterday, you know that they were full of cuteness. I’m puppy sitting this weekend and…yes. So much cute and so many cuddles. Win!

Unbreaking the Shelves Progress
Erm. I’ve pretty much given up on this. My reading slump really killed all my progress. Didn’t read much this week, either.

Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal December 9, 2012 at 12:15 am
Holy shoot balls! Your search terms are KILLING me this week! Iron crotch daughter julie????? Hahahahaha! Ouch. I think I hurt myself laughing that hard.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 9, 2012 at 9:21 am
I had good search terms this week, didn’t I? lol. I almost missed the iron crotch daughter julie term. I did a double take and was like, “WAIT. Oh my glob!” Heh.
Amy @ bookgoonie December 9, 2012 at 11:35 am
Your been a busy giraffe shifter lately. Read-a-thon. Reading Challenge. New blog. I’m feeling slightly inadequate. ;D
Jellicoe Road. So haps to see it lives up to the hype. I have Marchetta. As usual, I need to get it off the shelf.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 9, 2012 at 12:29 pm
Ha. But I’m getting very little reading done. That’s what happens when I do a lot of planning!
Smash Attack December 9, 2012 at 12:57 pm
Iron Crotch FTW!
So excited about Seriously Series. You know I am all over that.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 9, 2012 at 1:19 pm
Iron crotch sounds painful.
Yay! Glad you’ll be joining us! :)
Anne December 9, 2012 at 1:24 pm
I am SO JEALOUS that you have an ARC of Scarlet. I want that book SO BAD. So, ya know, if I show up at your door, it’s totally because I love you lots and really wanted to meet you. *hides cookies behind back* and the cookies are TOTALLY not a bribe at all.
I’m still considering whether to sign up for the Seriously Series challenge or not. I took the last year off of challenges, so I don’t want to overload, and I’m already doing Bingo. Could I double count the series books for both?
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 9, 2012 at 1:31 pm
You can absolutely count the series books for both! You don’t have to lock yourself into any level of the series challenge, either. We have it set up so that you can reassess your goals every few months in case you’re reading more or less. :)
Felicia S. (@thegeekyblogger) December 9, 2012 at 5:13 pm
I am so stoked for your 2013 :) I think it is going to rock! You have so much on your plate that I am always in awe of what you do but you pull it off so well. Can’t wait to see the unveiling of the new look for the business :)
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 10, 2012 at 8:13 pm
Thanks, Felicia! I’m pretty excited about the new business look–it’s why I decided to reveal it early. :)
Sarah (saz101) December 9, 2012 at 6:33 pm
AMANDA! Two books in a week! I read… uh… half a book, and 17 page novella. Does that count? SHAPE SHIFTING UNICORNS COUNT FOR SOMETHING, RIGHT?
*cough*
Thank you SO MUCH FOR THE LINK ♥
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 10, 2012 at 8:13 pm
Shape shifting unicorns ALWAYS count. THEY ALWAYS COUNT, SARAH! Especially when those shape shifting unicorns have lots of sex.
Sarah (saz101) December 10, 2012 at 8:18 pm
“I’m riding the unicorn,” she thought giddily.
Will be one of my favorite lines from any book EVER, in perpetuity.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 10, 2012 at 8:22 pm
And with good reason!
Hannah @ Once Upon A Time December 9, 2012 at 6:45 pm
“make your own sex toys book — o.O”
Oh, c’mon! That sounds genius! :D
Sarah (saz101) December 9, 2012 at 11:39 pm
Wait. I missed that one. AMANDA SHOULD WRITE THIS.
With her accrued knowledge from a thousand dodgy erotica novellas, she would be an INSTANT BEST SELLER :O
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 10, 2012 at 8:14 pm
(O)_(O)
Sarah (saz101) December 10, 2012 at 8:18 pm
Oh, you!
You know I love it when you look at me like that *bats eyeslashes*

*shivers*
Uh… I’m going to stop before this goes somewhere dirty…er than the analogy I was going to use earlier today about cliffhangers being akin to the batteries in some undersexed heroine’s vibrator dying right as… *cough*
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 10, 2012 at 8:25 pm
(O)_(O)
THAT ANALOGY IS BLOODY BRILLIANT! I’d use it anyway.
Sarah (saz101) December 10, 2012 at 8:27 pm
Yes, but my blog has a largely YA audience O__o
A friend convinced me not to scar the 15 year olds.
You’re welcome to it? Please. Please use it :P
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 10, 2012 at 8:32 pm
Yes. As soon as I get a chance, I will!
Sarah (saz101) December 10, 2012 at 8:32 pm
Baha! You’re welcome XD
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 10, 2012 at 8:14 pm
I was more o.O about the fact it brought someone to my site. ;)
Kristilyn (Reading in Winter) December 10, 2012 at 7:59 pm
Crazy search terms this week! And the CUTE! Your houseguest is the cutest little thing. :) And so many great things for 2013 – I’m excited for all of them!
PS – Glad your blog was saved!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 10, 2012 at 8:16 pm
The cute! It sounds like I’ll get her again on Christmas Eve, so I’m not going to lie–there will probably be more pictures then.
Thanks, Kristilyn! (I’m glad, too. It sounds like the issue wasn’t really severe, it just… caused some major issues.)
Leanne Yang @ Escaping With Books December 12, 2012 at 6:46 pm
Look at those search terms!! HAHA, they are so weird. Have a great week :D
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 12, 2012 at 7:28 pm
Thank you, Leanne! I hope you have a great week, too. :)
