It’s that time again — Tuesday! — which means I attempt to brighten your day with half-naked men. Read on at your own risk. Top Off Tuesdays was started by Felicia, Christi and me. It is where we (and you!) share the book covers that make us swoon. Head over to Felicia’s blog to share your Top Off Tuesday link or to see what everyone has posted.
Let us all count and then pet the abs.
Third in the Project Alpha series
Earth 2133
Adrian is an Alpha—a genetically enhanced assassin—thought dead by the people who created him. Living outside the Gate, a high tech shield that protects the enclosed city from the contaminated and lawless land outside, he is the leader of the Resistance, living only to bring down the Gate and the people who sought to kill him.
Charity Caruthers is the daughter of one of the most powerful and brutal men in the inner city—the General. She risks everything sneaking outside the Gate to get a message to Adrian.
Passion explodes, ripping apart the foundations of both their lives. Charity begins to understand true sexual desire as Adrian teaches her the passion to be found in dark fantasies. Loyalties are tested and trust pushed to the limits as the final confrontation is at hand. Some will die. Some will live. And Adrian and Charity’s fragile relationship could be the final casualty in this war of retribution and freedom.

Holy… wow. I’m sure I’ll be back throughout the day to ogle this beaut.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 4, 2012 at 9:54 am
You’re welcome.
Deb December 4, 2012 at 5:57 am

lol. Glad you enjoyed, Deb! :)
Mary @ BookSwarm December 4, 2012 at 6:52 am
SWEET Charity indeed! Though they could have cut off a bit more of his head and left me with more torso to ogle. That sounds more gross than I meant.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 4, 2012 at 9:54 am
Ha. Heads don’t really belong on covers. Just torso and body.
Kristilyn (Reading in Winter) December 4, 2012 at 7:08 am
So many muscles!
I agree with Mary. Heads are overrated.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 4, 2012 at 9:55 am
I read somewhere once that heads don’t often appear on covers because there’s less of a chance for the reader to go into the book with a preconceived notion of what the character looks like. Though that was cool.
Felicia December 4, 2012 at 7:22 am
Adrian certainly is an Alpha! Holy hot muscle mass! Where do I sign up for an Alpha ?

I want one! I may have a belly button fetish. I really don’t know but there is something a bit lickable about that one. His abs have abs.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 4, 2012 at 9:56 am
hahahaha. “His abs have abs.” Niiiiice.
Jenny December 4, 2012 at 9:39 am
Holy sh*t Amanda! Look at those things! I could quite literally do laundry on them. Is it weird that my mind first went to “washboard” and then “laundry” as opposed to something deep down in the gutter? I think something’s wrong with me. I always go to the gutter first! *checks to see if I’m running a fever*
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 4, 2012 at 9:58 am
Well, laundry means taking clothes off. That’s gutter-ish. We can go with that.
Mariana December 4, 2012 at 5:54 pm
I do love a military man and those abs are just perfect!!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 4, 2012 at 6:37 pm
Yes. Yes, they are. :)
Sarah (saz101) December 4, 2012 at 7:22 pm
…is it just me or is his head way too big for his body?
Seriously. Look at it for a minute O__o
Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 4, 2012 at 10:52 pm
*drags eyes away from abs* Hmm. You may be right.
Christi Snow December 7, 2012 at 10:02 am

Amanda @ On a Book Bender December 7, 2012 at 1:09 pm
Thank you, Christi! I’m glad you approve. :)
