Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Tara @ 25 Hour Books and I shamelessly plug each other, share the fantastic posts, giveaways, or whatever else we’ve found and loved by other awesome bloggers (or authors!) during the week, and talk about the books we plan on reading in the coming week.

Meanwhile, in Amanda’s World
I think I am finally starting to get better. YAY! It was Thanksgiving this week in the US, so I spent Thursday with the boyfriend’s family. It was good fun even if it did snow. Other than that, I’ve been taking it easy and just trying to read. OH! And if you used your gmail address to subscribe to my business newsletter, be sure to check your spam folder–the boyfriend found my November 15th article is his spam folder this past week. And that’s no good.
Around the Book Blogging Community
- Mary (Book Swarm) talks about the difficulty of choosing a book. THIS IS MY PROBLEM.
- The Literary Grrrl talks about the downfall of overusing words and bringing BACK other, forgotten words.

Unbreaking the Shelves Progress
I am continuing to make PROGRESS! I have shifted some of my focus on this challenge so that I’m mainly working on getting my own-must-read shelf and pending shelf down below a certain number. With the way my reading has been lately, I’m trying not to limit my reading choices. I managed to read two books from my own-must-read shelf and two books from my pending shelf this week. I think I also took off a book from my own-must-read shelf because I borrowed it from someone and decided that I was never going to get around to it.

Can’t wait to see what you think of Under the Never Sky. The relationship felt a lot like Katsa & Po from Graceling which was a WIN for me.
Yea on the win from Jess. That is awesome. I know you have much love for this series :)
Snow….it makes me cold.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 25, 2012 at 11:24 am
I’m most of the way through Under the Never Sky right now. I really like it thus far!
Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal November 25, 2012 at 8:48 am
Progress! You are making progress on UtS! I’m so proud of you! I think my goal is going to be to clear 2 books off my lists a week. I can do that. Can’t I?
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 25, 2012 at 11:25 am
PROGRESS! Yes. You can do that. I’d be shocked if you can’t.
Hannah @ Once Upon A Time November 25, 2012 at 10:32 am
I was totally picturing Blue Moon trying to have sex with somebody. “No, Blue Moon by Alyson Noel! Bad Blue Moon by Alyson Noel! I will not have sex with you. Stop it. You’re a book! I do not want papercuts there and you aren’t even that good!”
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 25, 2012 at 11:25 am
Heh. Awkward paper cuts.

I keep adding In Bed With a Highlander to my hold list on the library website for the audiobook. Then I get it, forget about it, and it expires before I can listen. ONE OF THESE DAYS!
And I also have difficulty picking books. Lately, I’ve just been picking one up and reading — not even thinking about it. It’s working!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 25, 2012 at 1:07 pm
I don’t know how the audiobook is, but I *loved* the book!
Stephanie November 25, 2012 at 2:57 pm
Have you read many historical romances? If you haven’t read it to a list yet, be sure to check out Lisa Kleypas’ Wallflower series. It is such a great historical romance series! Loved it. :)
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 26, 2012 at 9:47 am
I read a lot of historical romance when I was younger. :)
Sarah (saz101) November 28, 2012 at 9:12 pm
The difficulty of choosing a book? UGH. YES.
I took 3 different books (not to mention all the books on my Kindle) away with me for a 3 day holiday which had booked-full days the entire time for >__<
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 29, 2012 at 9:58 am
And the more books I have, the HARDER it is for me to CHOOSE. Ugh.
