Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Tara @ 25 Hour Books and I shamelessly plug each other, share the fantastic posts, giveaways, or whatever else we’ve found and loved by other awesome bloggers (or authors!) during the week, and talk about the books we plan on reading in the coming week.

Meanwhile, in Amanda’s World
Last week, I hit my 150 Goodreads challenge goal. I’ve actually read more than that, but Goodreads doesn’t have all the books I’ve read. (O)_(O) A good chunk of those 150 books are novellas, so keep that in mind that about 4 or 5 novellas = 1 book. And this past week I gave up my NaNo quest and started messing with a couple different things (POETRY!). I’m writing almost every day, though my word count is very low. I’m okay with that. I’m going to focus on having fun and cheering everyone else along.
Around the Book Blogging Community
Either I’ve been under a rock this past week (totally possible) or a lot of people must be writing for NaNo because I have very few things to link up.
- Felicia (Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog) is talking about the authors and bloggers she is thankful for. Each day is one new author and blogger!
- Kristilyn (Reading In Winter) discusses how to live with a non-reader.
- Amelia (The Authoress) put together a couple videos from an event with Libba Bray. In one, Libba reads a story she wrote as a child and it is AWESOME.

Goodreads Stats
Read in 2012 (151)
- Hunter’s Season by Thea Harrison (10)
- *flails* I loved this one! Review 11/28
- Thrill of the Hunt by Nathalie Gray (4)
- I review this for Reading in Winter (After Dark) tomorrow. I got a little carried away with this review. It’s… well, just read it tomorrow.
- Lord’s Fall by Thea Harrison
- After I finish putting together this post, I’m going to go read, so with luck, this book should be FINISHED by the time this post actually publishes.
Own-Must-Read (98)
- Lord’s Fall by Thea Harrison
- WHAT?! I pre-ordered this one back in May.
Unbreaking the Shelves Progress
No progress is better than backward progress, right? Between my reading slump and 2.5 weeks of hardcore editing, I’ve had little time or motivation to read. I’m hoping that my reading will pick up a little now.

Your search terms are scaring me.
*jots down some notes for my Percy Jackson erotica*
What were we talking about again? *blinks*
Eeeee! Lord’s Fall! NaNo! Penicorn!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:13 am
My search terms were pretty awesomely scary.
Also: have you written your Lord’s Fall review yet? I want to share mine/read yours!
Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal November 12, 2012 at 10:15 am
No, I haven’t. BUT… it’s totally on the agenda for today. I have two reviews to write. TWO. I want to get them both done this morning.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:17 am

Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal November 12, 2012 at 10:17 am
I have to shower first. No one likes a stinky Kelly.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:18 am
As long as I can’t smell you in Minnesota, it’s all good.
Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal November 12, 2012 at 10:30 am
Lol! I’m pretty sure I’ve never been *that* stinky.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:31 am
See? Nothing to worry about, then.
Hannah @ Once Upon A Time November 11, 2012 at 7:28 am
I seem to have given up on nano too, not that I’m giving up on writing I just want to do it at my own pace and in my own way for the time being.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:16 am
Yeah. I kind of decided that putting myself under the pressure to produce words generally only produces shitty stuff, or stuff I’m not proud of. I did one word war last week and ended up rewriting the entire thing because I didn’t like what I wrote. Boo. Guess I’ll just keep doing what I like at my own pace. :)
Amy @ bookgoonie November 11, 2012 at 8:13 am
I think there has been a lot writing going on. Glad you’ve been busy editing & writing ;D
I’m with Kelly. Percy Jackson erotica? Are these sicko moms or his young fans have grown up and don’t know where to start their search for grown up fun?
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:19 am
A lot of people seem to be participating in NaNo, I think.
There’s probably plenty of Harry Potter erotica, too. You know.
Smash Attack November 11, 2012 at 12:24 pm
ZOMG! Hunter’s Season! I flailed too. It remains my favorite piece of the Elder Races world. It was just so damn beautiful!
I love that you are writing poetry! How uber awesome. :)
Dude. Percy Jackson erotica? I have a sick mind and cutie Logan Lerman popped into my head just now. He plays Percy in the movies. And he’s hella young. I’m going to hell.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:21 am
Poetry is fun. I usually write 6X6 poems, where there are six lines and each line has six words. I have fun with it.
Kristilyn (Reading in Winter) November 11, 2012 at 2:10 pm
That’s too bad that you’re giving up on NaNo, but you have to do what makes you happy. :) I’d like to finish for once this year and then buy Scrivener … that’s a big motivation for me!
I really need to read some Thea Harrison! I will see if my library has that series … I want to flail, too!
Percy Jackson erotica? Hmmm …. some people are WEIRD!
Have a good week! :)
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:23 am
I think I realized that what I produce when I feel pressured to do so ends up being really shitty. So, writing at my own pace just works so much better.
Kristin @ My ParaHangover November 11, 2012 at 2:46 pm
I’m so with everyone else on your search terms, although they are certainly awesomely entertaining!!! Sickos…
Congrats on killing your GR goal!! I’d say you nailed it! Even with novellas, because you read books not in GR and there’s still a whole month and a half to go, you definitely succeeded! Awesome!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:25 am
Thank you! I do have to admit that, given how I was so behind earlier this year, hitting my goal is kinda nice. :)
Sarah (saz101) November 11, 2012 at 8:45 pm
YOU REACHED 150? FOR SERIOUSLY?
Ugh.
I’m so far behind.
AND WHAT IS WITH GOODREADS NOT HAVING ALL THE BOOKS? I almost added Let’s F*** Before The Zombies Get Us… but… it’s kind of like admitting I read it in public…
which… uh. I guess I just did? :D
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 12, 2012 at 10:27 am
lol. YES. I was really far behind, too. But then I went on a novella reading spree and my numbers shot up.
HA. Yes. I tend not to rate or review GLA books, just add that I read them. Well, if those GLA books are on Goodreads. Some of them are so obscure that they’re not even listed. I’m okay with that.
Felicia November 13, 2012 at 9:36 am
You hit your goal? You luck biatch :) I am not going to make mine this year LOL :)
Amanda @ On a Book Bender November 13, 2012 at 9:37 am
Read more novellas! ;)
