Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Tara @ 25 Hour Books and I shamelessly plug each other, share the fantastic posts, giveaways, or whatever else we’ve found and loved by other awesome bloggers (or authors!) during the week, and talk about the books we plan on reading in the coming week.

Meanwhile, in Amanda’s World
- I learned how to find the feed for specific labels in Blogger, so my Facebook page and Twitter account should be set up to post the links to my GLA reviews with Kelly. *finger guns*
- Last week, I added a disclaimer to my footer about being an Amazon associate. This week, I added to that by including links to Kelly’s and my Amazon astores. If you’re already buying books, help support us. Any money I receive will go back into the blog.
- Due to a photo I posted on my blog’s Facebook page, I decided to change the settings of the page to be 18+. This knocked a few people off my page. If it was you, I’M SORRY. I was trying to be responsible and not get in trouble by posting graphic conversations.
- I’ve been trying to be more active on my Facebook page. I still can’t decide if it’s a useful promotional tool or just another way for me to waste time.
- Tomorrow, I’ve got a newsletter coming out about grammar tricks AND my article for November 1st is all about websites and making yours the best it can be. Want to make sure you get in on the action? Sign up to receive the newsletter!
- I sent out a newsletter to the Midwestern book bloggers on Friday. I have reposted the information on our website. Even if you aren’t in the Midwest, please help me spread the word and my plea for help. I want to get the site up and functioning, but I can’t do it without help. And I need a lot of help. (Come on, now. No jokes. I’m serious.)

Unbreaking the Shelves Progress
I suck. That is all.

*ignores your Unbreaking the Shelves section*
Soooo… good week with the books. You have many that make me happy. MANY. All those EIT books make me grin like a fool.
*whispers* I think I’ll have to pick up Destroy Me. I want to have some inappropriate Warner thoughts.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 14, 2012 at 8:59 am
*whispers* I may or may not have bought more books not listed here.
And yes. You need inappropriate Warner thoughts, too.
Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal October 14, 2012 at 10:17 am
*whispers back* Whhhhaaa? Do tell. Please.
I have 4 books already to add for this week. Yikes! I’m afraid. Hold me.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 14, 2012 at 10:19 am
I’ll tell you later. Like on Tuesday when I get them. :)
How do you already have four books???
Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal October 14, 2012 at 10:22 am
One Kindle freebie download, one NetGalley review, and 2 birthday books. WHEEEE! I GOT BIRTHDAY BOOKS! (ONE OF THEM FROM YOU! I would have added it yesterday but I had a friend over and didn’t open my packages until late! I LOVE ZOMBIES!)
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 14, 2012 at 10:31 am
You got one of your books already??? O.O The ETA was Monday!
Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal October 14, 2012 at 11:35 am
I did! I was almost afraid to open it, to be honest, because I had visions of it being something my mom bought me and I didn’t want her to be upset that I was opening her gifts before my birthday. But I got over my fear and found zombie goodness!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 15, 2012 at 2:16 pm
lolololol. If I had been in your situation, and I had gotten in trouble with my mom, I would have said, “If you didn’t want me to open it, you shouldn’t have addressed it to me.”
Problem. Solved.
Though YAY! I saw that on your wishlist and knew I had to get it for you. HAD TO!
Tanya Patrice October 14, 2012 at 4:08 am
I loved both Neverwhere and Cinder, and hope you enjoy them both. And I look forward to seeing your post on making your website the best you can.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 14, 2012 at 9:00 am
Thank you! I am enjoying both books thus far. I just don’t have as much time to read them as I’d like, unfortunately.
Smash Attack October 14, 2012 at 9:46 am
You do not suck. You rock, and don’t you forget it!
I really need to read the damn Shatter Me series already. *sigh* I’m having serious anxiety choosing books to read these day, and it is keeping me from reading as much as I usually do. Ugh. (I might have to do a discussion post on Book Anxiety now!)
I hope you get help w/ the Midwestern BB blog. I put out an APB on Twitter & FB.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 14, 2012 at 10:21 am
I do not rock at my Unbreaking the Shelves progress, unfortunately.
Thank you for spreading the word!
Smash Attack October 14, 2012 at 10:25 am
No one expects you to be perfect ALL the time. Just most of the time. ;)
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 14, 2012 at 10:31 am
No pressure or anything. O.o
Smash Attack October 14, 2012 at 10:37 am
You are perfect, just the way you are!
Isn’t that a song verse or something…
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 14, 2012 at 10:38 am
Bruno Mars?
Jennifer Lane October 14, 2012 at 11:04 am
Hi, Amanda! How’s it going? Thanks for the link to Midwestern Book Bloggers. I signed up because I’d like to know more about book events nearby. I recently had dinner with Jenny from Supernatural Snark and Dani from Reflected Light and it was hard keeping up with their book signings knowledge!
I definitely want to read Easy and Crewel sounds very interesting.
Hope you have a great week!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 15, 2012 at 2:17 pm
I’m glad you joined, Jen! There really is an amazing number of book events. I’m hoping that the site/newsletter will go a long way toward keeping everyone informed about events in their area. :)
Kristilyn (Reading in Winter) October 14, 2012 at 11:36 am
If you suck, then I suck, too. It’s hard to get those numbers down when all I want to do is add books!
I’ve heard AWESOME things about Easy — I have it on my eReader, so I better get to it soon.
And good for you adding the 18+ to your Facebook page. I’m sure it was a tough decision, but being responsible is good. As far as Facebook goes, I’m not sure it’s something that would get me more traffic, but I do like that me being more active on it gets people talking more.
Yay for all the Karina Halle books!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 15, 2012 at 2:20 pm
I saw some of your reading progress on Easy… sounded good!
I think there’s a greater potential of getting my page shut down on Facebook if someone takes offense to 18+ content being visible to anyone 13+. I know there are many under 18 who can handle that stuff, but… staying on the safe side is better is this instance.
Carrie from Stalking the Bookshelves October 14, 2012 at 12:06 pm
I really need to read White Cat but more importantly I really need to stop adding more books to my TBR pile and start reading the stacks upon stacks of books I own. I will make this happen in 2013.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 15, 2012 at 2:22 pm
Ha. The desire to buy/acquire more books is insatiable! I think cutting down rather than stopping completely is probably more appropriate. At least… that’s what I’m going with. ;)
Amy @bookgoonie October 14, 2012 at 12:53 pm
I heart all the books you’ve been reading and have on Your Own Must Read list. I think you’ll enjoy Succubus Blues.
I am going to be so sad when you get super busy again. You’ve been rocking the content, discussions, and reading. I’m hitting the Halloween-ish books for the rest of the month.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 15, 2012 at 2:23 pm
Jess made me buy Succubus Blues. MADE ME!
Amy @ bookgoonie October 15, 2012 at 2:29 pm
I figured that was Jess inspired. I was bullied too. Georgina rocks! You need to meet her.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 15, 2012 at 2:30 pm
Jess is the source of many of my reads. But the ebook was $1. That’s hard to pass up!
Sarah (saz101) October 14, 2012 at 9:46 pm
DJADFJAFD. AMANDA. YOU IS READING CINDER. AND NEVERWHERE.
Firstly: Neil Gaiman is an almost god-like figure to me. I’m obsessed. I love him. I seriously get TEARY when I see a video of him, just because I love to hear him talk so much -__-
Uh… yeah. And Cinder! I LOVED this book. Kaaaaai. I actually REALLY love him as a YA love interest. It’s not like Cinder’s world will END without him, or like he’s controlling, or anything. And he’s a PRINCE. He understands his priorities, and !!! I love it ♥
Amanda @ On a Book Bender October 15, 2012 at 2:26 pm
At one point in time, I read that Neil Gaiman lived in Stillwater, MN, which is about 45 minutes from where I live. (But Wikipedia says a town in Wisconsin, which is more like two hours away.)
I’m only about 59 pages into Cinder right now, but I LOVE IT SO FAR! I’m sure it will only continue to get better. :)
Sarah (saz101) October 15, 2012 at 8:53 pm
B-b-but… but you live in the same COUNTRY as him, Amanda! DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND? :O
