Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Tara @ 25 Hour Books and I shamelessly plug each other, share the fantastic posts, giveaways, or whatever else we’ve found and loved by other awesome bloggers (or authors!) during the week, and talk about the books we plan on reading in the coming week.
On a Book Bender Recap

Meanwhile, in Amanda’s World

- I bought a printer. Set it up. Laughed at the directions.
- The boyfriend’s family had a garage sale yesterday, so I was there, doing that. And preparing.
- Business has been sloooooooooow. I’m bored.

All Series, All Summer Progress
Completed: Frostbite by Richelle Mead, Dead Girls Dance by Rachel Caine (all of the MV series I have, which means series complete), Alien Proliferation by Gini Koch, Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues by Diana Rowland (and, series complete!)
Goals: Keep up the progress! I think the last week was my most productive reading week in a really long time (even if it wasn’t all series books), and I want to continue that.

BLOGGIESTA!!!! Yes. Awesome.
Ha. Rehv’s penis is popular. Kelly can’t be happy about this.
I really like Alien Proliferation but I completely agree with you regarding ALL OF THE THINGS. Way too much info, Kitty came to conclusions way too easily, way too much stuff happening. My head was spinning. I totally adore the characters though.
Smash Attack August 26, 2012 at 8:11 am
Oh, and thanks for the I Hunt Killers shout out! I hope you lurve it, too. :) Also interested to hear what you think about The Hunt. I was listening to it on audio, but stopped…and now I’m not interested enough to start back up. :/
Amanda @ On a Book Bender August 26, 2012 at 10:34 am
Thus far, I’m not even 100 pages into The Hunt. I’m really intrigued by it, but I hit a reading wall Friday night and haven’t picked it back up yet.
Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal August 26, 2012 at 10:00 am
You are absolutely correct. I am not pleased by the amount of attention Rehv’s penis draws. I shall have to … do something drastic to make sure it remains mine.
*begins plotting*
Amanda @ On a Book Bender August 26, 2012 at 10:33 am
YES. YES! YES!!!! That’s exactly how I felt about Alien Proliferation. Did you still want to do a joint review for it?
Smash Attack August 26, 2012 at 11:35 am
Yes. We should do a joint review. It will be confusing and funny.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender August 26, 2012 at 11:37 am
Okay. Do you have time tomorrow to work on it? (Or we can take this discussion to email if that is easier.
Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal August 26, 2012 at 10:03 am
You read a lot of books this last week. I am SO PROUD! *wipes tears* So.proud.
I’m starting to get scared that I won’t complete my AS,AS challenge by the end of the month. HOLD ME!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender August 26, 2012 at 10:35 am
I was totally channeling you last week. Totally.
You have five full days (not including the rest of today) to finish six books. If you can’t do that, I will be very disappointed. SIX BOOKS. THAT’S ALL THAT’S LEFT!
Amy @ bookgoonie August 26, 2012 at 10:28 am
You are rocking the reading therapy. Fixing to head over the checkout what you think about the MV series. I’m listening to it on audiobook so far. It kind of feels like Scooby Do & the gang meets Vampires.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender August 26, 2012 at 10:36 am
It is kind of like that. I do like the series, but I don’t ever see it becoming a favorite.
Kristilyn (Reading in Winter) August 26, 2012 at 10:50 am
You read a TON of books this week! Oh, and garage sales can be fun … I helped a friend with one earlier in the summer and it was cold. Reminds me why I just donate stuff to Goodwill.
Awesome job on the AS,AS books! I seem to start MORE series books than I finish … gotta work on that.
Woo for Bloggiesta! I’m not sure if I’ll sign up yet, but hopefully. :)
Amanda @ On a Book Bender August 26, 2012 at 10:54 am
The boyfriend and I pretty much just helped with setting up and taking things down. And I took care of the dogs (which is why I posted so many pictures to Twitter yesterday, lol). But it went well. And I made MONEH!
I reluctantly signed up for Bloggiesta earlier this year, but ended up LOVING IT and getting a lot of work done on my blog. I don’t think I have nearly as much to do this time around, but I’m really looking forward to it. You should join! Especially if I get to host a mini-challenge! :)
Natalie @ Mindful Musings August 26, 2012 at 10:04 pm
I totally feel you on the rough week. I was definitely in need of happy hour by Friday! I’m enjoying teaching and my Masters program…but sheesh…it’s definitely not for wimps! Lol.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender August 26, 2012 at 10:43 pm
Oh, you only need happy hour by Friday? I seem to remember needing one almost every day. lol. But yes… teaching + grad school is not for the faint of heart.
Felicia August 27, 2012 at 9:29 am
Bloggiesta! I am so glad it is on my one free weekend in the next 6 weeks :) I can’t wait!
Amanda @ On a Book Bender August 27, 2012 at 10:57 am
Oh! Bonus! I’m excited for it! :) It’s going to be FUN.
Kristin @myparahangover August 27, 2012 at 9:55 am
You loved “For the Darkness”! Yay! I keep going back and forth between walking out of the store with that one and putting it back b/c it’s hardcover (ouch!). It might make it out of the store next time!!
And I can’t wait to see what a joint review of Alien Proliferation could look like… YIKES!! ~ her books do have a tendency to have a bit going on at once. I think it gets worse later but I’m hoping the next book out soon brings it back in :)
The search terms have a completely new meaning to me now!!! REALLY?!?! People are still looking up Rehv’s junk???
Amanda @ On a Book Bender August 27, 2012 at 11:01 am
I did like it! It was one of those books that had me thinking about it even when I wasn’t reading.
Apparently Rehv’s junk is exciting for some people. Heh.
Ashley Montgomery August 29, 2012 at 12:08 am
I haven’t heard of Blogiesta. I’ll be checking it out.
Happy reading!
