Some of you may recognize this feature from 25 Hour Books.  I was in the market for a feature to showcase the bloggers I simply can’t live without, Tara usually lets me do whatever I want if I pester her enough, and Who Am I Stalking? seemed appropriate. Win-win.  But please, no restraining orders are necessary.  I stalk with love, people.  It is a badge of honor.  Wear it with pride!

How could I NOT stalk Felicia?  I know I am not alone in this sentiment, either.  Like I mentioned in my Thankful Thursday feature, Felicia is one of the nicest and sweetest bloggers EVER.  I first met Felicia through Tara on 25 Hour Books, and she was one of the very few book blogging people with whom I stayed in contact when I was in between 25 Hour Books and On a Book Bender.  And if that’s not enough, here are a few more reasons why I love Felicia: she is incredibly generous and supportive, she loves dogs just as much as I do, she plays/played WoW (which rocks because not many women do), she helped make Top Off Tuesdays happen, she drinks wine like a pro (and so do I!), and she is just completely awesome.  And bonus: December is Felicia’s birthday and blogoversary month (17th and 31st respectively) and she is celebrating by hosting a 40 for 40 Giveaways and Fun event.  So be sure to stop by Felicia’s blog and say “Congrats!” and “Happy [early] Birthday!”

1. Describe yourself in six words.

Fabulously Silly Goofy Nuts since 1971

2. What has been your most exciting moment as a book blogger?

There have been so many exciting moments since I started blogging 4 years ago and all of them are because of other bloggers!  Seriously I get so giddy when I am picked for things like this that it makes me tear up just a bit.  I have been blessed to be a book whore over at Smash Attack, behind the blog at Paranormal Haven, When I am not Reading by Missie, and then Who am I Stalking here.  Those are my favorite moments and the ones that will stick with me forever.  Also, I have to say it was forming my first blogging friends: Jennifer from Reading with Tequila, You and Tara back on 25 Hour Books, and Missie from The Unread Reader.  I am part of BBA (Book Bloggers Anon) on Goodreads, have done read-a-longs and group giveaways (Trick or Treat for books), and other fun events with other bloggers—those are always a blast. I have been blessed to meet many bloggers in person (Melissa from Books and Things, All the Gals from AAD Philly, Ali from Simply Ali, and Joy from Joyfully Reviewed—tons more too).  I know I cheated and gave you a slew of answers to this one but the true answer is anything that has to do with other blogging friends.  Those are the most exciting moments for me.

3. Since starting Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog, what is the best book that you have read?  The worst?

Gosh this is a hard one!  How about the Best Book that surprised me: The President’s Vampire/Blood Oath by Christopher Farnsworth.  The worst book by far had to be The Manual: A True Bad Boy Explains How Men Think, Date, and Mate–and What Women Can Do to Come Out on Top by Steve Santagati.  I am not sure what possessed me to pick up the book in the first place but it was just horrid.

4. Why is reading important?

Reading and Journaling to me have always gone hand in hand.  They keep me sane, grounded, and often out of trouble.  Ok that last part is mostly referring to my teenage years!  I also think that reading is important because Knowledge is Power!  If you are a fiction reader then there is a good chance that you will read things in other areas that interest you.  You gain knowledge with every word you read.

5. What are some of your favorite reviews (or memes, features, discussions, etc) that you have written for Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog?

I am not much of a writer at all!  My reviews are pretty simple and the memes I participate in are created by others.  Even Top Off Tuesday was mostly thought up by you and Christi but I love it!  I would have to say my favorite posts tend to be the guest posts that I get from Authors.  They are so much fun to read.  Also I love that my blog led to a monthly article that I do over at Fresh Fiction to show off what is going on in the blogsphere each month!  I love getting to show off the events that bloggers spend tons of hours putting together!

6. Since you have a wine glasses rating system, I think it’s only fitting we talk wine.  What is your favorite wine?  Do you like to pair wine with books or just go with whatever sounds good?

I am a huge red wine drinker!  I love Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.  My favorites would have to be Marissou and Cupcake Vineyard Wines.  I also love Boti Box wines—don’t judge there are some kick butt boxed wines these days and they last longer in the fridge!  I find that Historical romances go best with Cabs, Paranormals with Pinot Noirs, and Contemporaries go great with a white fruity wine.  Scary books I love to drink Cider while reading—it just seems more appropriate!

Thank you so much for having me here today!  It truly made my day :)

And thank you Felicia for being YOU.

  1. I love Felicia too! Her posts and tweets always make me smile. :)

  2. Jenny says:

I stalk Felicia too! She’s so wonderfully stalkable, I adore her:) Hopefully one of these days we’ll find ourselves in the same place so I can pounce on her and generally make a scene. I need to read The President’s Vampire, I’ve heard it’s amazing and if Felicia says it’s a favorite than I know it’s got to be good. HUGE HUGS FELICIA! And Happy Early Birthday again:)

    • *HUGS* Right back at ya! I am hoping to go to Lori Fosters thing this year and if I do you better make the book signing so I can pounce on you too LOL! I was really surprised by how much I liked The Presidents Vampire —it was like 24 meets Vampires. Just a really good thriller!

  3. Ruby says:

I discovered Felicia via you blog Amanda and, clearly I haven’t been paying her enough attention because I don’t think I could be described as one of her stalkers. Yes, I will do it!

  4. Missie says:

I worship at Felicia’s feet!!!! For the realz. She’s my Texas homefry! She inspires me like no other. I can’t wait to be added to her list of book bloggers she’s met!

*shakes fist* Dang, where is Tara? I need to thank her again for introducing me to the wonderful world of Felicia.

  5. Felicia is da bomb-diggity! She should totally be a Coloradan because she is just that cool. Now, I’m sure meeting me was the lowest point, but for me it was a high point. She is amazingsauce and that’s no lie!

  6. Smash Attack says:

ADORE you, Felicia! You have certainly been one of the nicest bloggers to me and have gone out of your way to make me smile. You are a GEM, woman!

I don’t drink wine (can’t help it if it doesn’t like me – my body prefers the hard shit – LOL!) but I wish I did like them. So does hubs. He loves wine but his boring wife can’t drink it much. :/

    • That’s ok Smash I can’t handle the hard stuff. Oh I try occasionally but it ends up being like a scene from 10 Things I Hate About You—-I get silly then I get sick! I think it is because I didn’t drink anything till I was 25 so I have a very low tolerance :)

      (((((((((((( hugs )))))))))))

  7. Amanda—thanks so much for stalking me! I *heart* you and there are no words for how much this made my day, week, and month!

    ((((((((((( hugs )))))))))))))))

  8. Tara SG says:

GREAT interview!! Who couldn’t love Felicia?! She was one of my first book blogging buddies and I’m incredibly grateful to have met her.
