Updates
I am choosing to do all my updates in one post. All co-hosts should give you a place to share links to your daily updates. Whether you do so in the same post or with individual posts is up to you. I’m reusing the same update format from the first Bout of Books. You can copy it if you wish. If you are also tweeting, using #insixwords is a fast and fun way to post your updates, whether it’s of the day, or the book you finished reading.

I’ve heard great things about Divergent, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, and Demon Trapper’s Daughter. Hope you enjoy them!
Thanks! I’ve been bullied like mad to read Divergent, so I’m hoping it lives up to the hype. :)
You’ve got a good list too. Hope you have fun! That should be the main goal of the week. ;)
Yes, I agree! I’m actually thinking about calling Bout of Books a reading event rather than a read-a-thon the next time we have one. I mean, it really is more of a “let’s read together!” thing than a true read-a-thon.
Hmm, I haven’t heard of many of the books on your list so I’m excited to see what you think about them. I love finding new books to add to my Amazon wishlist. Never know where you’ll find your next favorite book ^__^.
Good luck on your goals.
Thank you! :)
Hey Amanda! This is my first time participating in Bout of Books, so could you elaborate on what the #insixwords part means? And if we tweet with that hashtag, should we still add the #boutofbooks hashtag?
Thank you!
Amber
#insixwords is for updates in six words. You can see an example here: http://onabookbender.com/2011/08/29/bout-of-books-read-a-thon-wrap-up-2/
#insixwords is a special hashtag and should only be used if you update in six words. You will have to include #boutofbooks as well.
Oh I’m sorry. And also, under the Today #insixwords thing, where it says books, are we supposed to put the titles of the books we read that day?
Thanks again!
Amber, this is just how I update. You can do whatever you want.
Oh I just wanted to follow the format. Thank you!
Looking forward to tomorrow!
Me too! :)
I see Sweet as Sin in there!! :D That’s a good list of books, Amanda! Nice variety. I have most of these on my endless TBR list, except for Neverwhere and Where Demons Fear to Tread. Best of luck!! I’m excited!!
Neverwhere is my nod to Halloween. :) I’m so glad you’re joining us, Jess! We can PARTY.
PARTY!
oooh, Amanda, you have a fantastic list of books there. I can’t wait to hear what you think of them!! smiles…
You know me, it’s all about the fantastic books. ;)
Divergent and Mara Dyer were amazing. You are really going to love those. Deadly Cool is on my list too. Really excited about that one.
I’ve been book bullied to read Divergent, so I’m hoping it’s good. :)
Amanda, please forgive me. I was looking at the wrong form and didn’t see my name so I signed up again. My second one is at the very end. So sorry! Can you remove it?
I’m talking about the sign up form, not the goal post form. Thanks! :)
I just joined so I am not on the master list yet, but here is my starting line post http://wp.me/pzUn5-CV
The comment section is not where you share your starting line post. Go here to submit your link: http://creativedeeds.wordpress.com/2011/10/22/bout-of-books-read-a-thon-goals/
I sooo need to read DIvergent already! I bought it when it came out…like so, so many books on my shelf. :(
Jess, it was so good! I was totally skeptical about whether I was going to like it, but it blew me away!
So I’m a day letting getting started because I just found out about the readathon this morning. But here is a link to my starting post http://www.theprincessofstoryland.blogspot.com So excited!!! Can anyone tell me how often this readathon is hosted?
This is not where you post your starting post (that is on Shirley’s blog, which is listed above) and I already answered your question about how often the readathon is hosted on Twitter.
Great progress. Hopefully I can get some reading done today!
4 books so far?! YAY!! Hopefully I can catch up a bit in the next few days…stupid school, how dare it get in the way of my reading. [: Sadly, I still haven’t read Divergent yet, so I will definitely will keep an eye out for your review.
Erin @ Let’s Evaluate
School always messes up our reading. :) My Divergent review won’t come until the end of November, but it was really good, and that’s coming from someone who isn’t a big YA or dystopian fan. I ended up giving it 4.5 stars.
I feel sad I missed all this…And they just put me out of work too! :) So I could have been reading away. BUT none the less I’m going to join up now and read as much as I can the next few days while it’s still happening. And I’ll be watching more closely for the next one! :) Thanks for hosting these, they are fun!
